Overcome

My inspiration to start this organization came from the devastating life shift I had at the age of six. I

was left confused, lost and broken by the shift my life took with the incarceration of my father.

Overcome's mission is to offer art-based programming, activities, and support services for children with incarcerated parents, promoting mental health awareness. The organization seeks to nurture creativity, self-expression, and emotional well-being in these children while fostering community understanding, empathy, and awareness.

"I'm convinced of this: Good done anywhere is good done everywhere. For a change, start by speaking to people rather than walking by them like they're stones that don't matter. As long as you're breathing, it's never too late to do some good.”
